Overcome Fear with God

Whatever your fear is, trust in the Lord. He is always with you! Come out of the darkness and He will shine on you. He will give you comfort, peace, and freedom all the days of your life. Believe and receive this in the MIGHTY name of Jesus!

Psalm 23 The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Rest in the Shadow of the Almighty

According to the word of God, if you call upon Him, He will answer you! If you need an answer, blessing or miracle what are you waiting for? He will rescue you, protect you, save upon Him and He will satisfy all your needs! Praise His Holy name!!

Psalm 91 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. If you say, “The LORD is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; the y will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent. “Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”

God's Unconditional Love

Pooks and Boots are receiving unconditional love from their new mommy and daddy taking them home! This is how God's unconditional love is available for all that receive Him. Let Him bring you into His loving home….an everlasting life with Jesus!

God's love will never fail you, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails…” 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

God wants a relationship with you! God wants to show you His unconditional love that will supply all your needs!
John 6:35, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.”
The Gospel is the good news! You can be forgiven of all things and saved by His grace and mercy!
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Power of Prayer

Pooks and Boots reminds us all of the power of PRAYER!

Mark 11:24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Matthew 18:20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.

Let us all agree, believe and receive in the name of Jesus we are saved, healed, divinely protected, highly favored, righteousness of God and blessed pressed down shaken together overflowing so we can be a blessing for others!

God is a Father to All

Pooks and Boots want children that may have lost their fathers, or never knew their fathers, or were orphans to know they have a heavenly MIGHTY FATHER!

Jesus can do all things! He can heal the broken hearted, heal the blind, heal the sick and be a loving FATHER to all! Pooks and Boots want children to know they are never alone and Jesus loves them so much!

Deuteronomy 31:8 The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.

When You Help Those In Need Your Are Helping Jesus

One morning in prayer I heard Jesus telling me to take $100 to give to someone at church that day. I put the $100 dollars in my purse and went to church. As I looked around I saw a lady and a little girl sitting a few rows ahead of me. I just knew she was the one! After service, I approached her and said, "I know you are going to think this is weird, but this morning I feel in my heart Jesus told me to give this to you." She immediately started to cry and hugged the little girl with her.  She said her and her daughter came to church today hoping Jesus would hear their prayer! I won't get into her details, other than she desperately needed help. My point is, when you know you hear God's word move on it! He will always guide us to the right person and the right time. I truly believe this!

The first book in the series, "Pooks and Boots Meet Jesus" is based on this beautiful concept. In this adventurous story your child will see how Pooks and Boots survived the wilderness, helped a kitty named Bandit and even learn who they are in Jesus! The story uses the bible verse Matthew 25:34-40 to teach us all when you help those in need, you are helping Jesus!

I pray this story teaches children and reminds adults that when we help others we are helping Jesus, whether it is a hug, listening, or helping in any way possible. It makes a difference!

Let Our Work Honor the Lord

Labor Day honors the American labor movement and all the hard workers that laid the foundation of our country. Many times we take for granted some of the people doing the jobs most would never consider....the lumberjack, construction, waste management, housekeeping, maintenance and the list can go on!

There was a lady that cleaned toilets, floors, surgery rooms and all of the hospital for over 22 years! She never complained and got to work several hours early. I asked this lady why she got to work so early? She replied, "I want the coffee pots, floors and bathrooms clean before employees arrive so I can be at the doors to say good morning!" She worked at a military hospital and appreciated them all serving their country! She felt the least she could do is give an extra clean place and a warm welcome when they arrived! It was not her responsibility to clean coffee pots or come in early. However, she was happy that the Lord gave her a job making minimum wage so she could provide for her family as her husband passed away with a brain tumor. She had to provide for her 3 girls and not having an education led her to the housekeeping position. The Colonels and Generals adored her for her dedication to serve in her own way. They loved her so much they gave her an award! She was the first housekeeper at this military hospital to receive an award for outstanding work. They took a picture of her with her cleaning cart and mop and put it at the entrance of the hospital! She was a remarkable lady and managed to raise 3 daughters who love the Lord! This remarkable lady happens to be my dear momma!

So whether you are a housekeeper, lumberjack, or any worker there is always a way we can do our job and serve the Lord! With this being said, I have a deep and loving appreciation for all those that define Labor Day! Let us honor and thank all the hard workers of America!

Colossians 3:23-24 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the LORD, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the LORD as a reward. It is the LORD Christ you are serving.

God Empowers You!

Pooks and Boots survived the wilderness by the hand of God and now know who they are in Jesus! They learned that Jesus is much stronger and better than any superhero they know and He is real and can live inside them! They also know that all things are possible with God!

1 John 4:4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

Matthew 19:26 Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
